4 months old

Time is just flying by.  Maddox turned 4 months old yesterday, June 4th.  He learns a new trick every day, and it is so much fun watching him learn and grow. Here are some things about Maddox at 4 months old:

1.      His hair looks almost redish at times.

2.      His eyes are turning brown… but sometimes look green in the light.

3.      He loves (needs?) his sleep, and maybe more so than other babies (although I have nothing to compare this theory to).  He gets very fussy very quickly if he doesn’t get a nap.

4.      He is very curious (and this trait often conflicts with his need of sleep).

5.      He is super serious about his food.

6.      He is playful—he loves to talk to any face he sees and play with his toys.

7.      He is very good at holding up his head while on his tummy, and just recently starting getting his knees up underneath him (which looks an awful lot like getting ready to crawl!)

8.      Just today he rolled onto his side to grab a toy that was lying next to him. 

9.      He also has a very serious side, and will talk to you with a very serious look on his face.

10.  He loves sitting up on my lap and likes looking around, checking out what is going on in the room.

11.  He loves staring at his momma or poppa and instantly turns his head toward either of us when he hears our voices.

12.  He loves music—he’ll stop moving (the only other time this happens is when he sleeps) when he hears music.

13.  He’s the spitting image of his poppa with his momma’s dark hair and eyes. :)
